How We Pick
Who we are
Worth a Surf is run by one person. Every site on this page was opened, used, and written up by hand — no scrapers, no auto-generated descriptions, no sponsored placements disguised as picks.
What gets in
A site has to clear four things:
- It has its own domain and works right now.
- You can see the point of it without creating an account.
- It isn't a wrapper around someone else's product.
- Someone would actually tell a friend about it.
Sites that fail any of these don't get listed, even when the owner asks.
How often we re-check
The whole list is re-verified at the start of every month. Dead sites come off the same day. Sites that turn their content into a login wall come off too — that's the most common reason something disappears.
How we make money
Display ads and a few affiliate links. Affiliate relationships never decide what gets listed or where it sits — and if a page has an affiliate link, it says so above the link.
Submit a site
Free, and a human reads it within seven days. Payment isn't an option we offer, so nobody can buy a place on this list.
